Eserlerinden baz\u0131lar\u0131 \u015funlard\u0131r: \u00c7a\u011fatayca Divan (5 tane), Fars\u00e7a Divan (5 tane), \u00c7ihil Hadis (K\u0131rk Hadis) ve Muhakemet&#8217;\u00fcl Lugateyn (\u0130ki s\u00f6zl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131)&#8217;d\u0131r.<br \/>\n15. y\u00fczy\u0131lda \u00c7a\u011fatayca&#8217;n\u0131n (\u00c7a\u011fatay T\u00fcrk\u00e7esi&#8217;nin) klasik bir yaz\u0131 dili olarak kimlik kazanmas\u0131nda Ali \u015eir Nevai&#8217;nin \u00f6nemi bilinmektedir. Nevai \u00f6ncesinde ve Nevai\u2019nin \u00e7a\u011f\u0131nda, Timurlular devletinde T\u00fcrk\u00e7e yazan sanat\u00e7\u0131lar azd\u0131r. Nevai, T\u00fcrk\u00e7eyi edebi dil olarak kullanmayan, Fars\u00e7a yazan \u00e7a\u011fda\u015flar\u0131na \u00e7atar. \u00c7a\u011fda\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n Fars\u00e7a&#8217;n\u0131n kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda edebi dil olarak T\u00fcrk\u00e7eyi yetersiz g\u00f6rmelerini ele\u015ftirir; e\u011fer emek verilirse T\u00fcrk\u00e7enin de Fars\u00e7a kadar, hatta daha fazla anlat\u0131m inceliklerine sahip oldu\u011funun g\u00f6r\u00fclece\u011fini belirtir. Bu g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015flerini Muhakemet&#8217;\u00fcl Lugateyn&#8217;de g\u00f6r\u00fcr\u00fcz.[2]<br \/>\nT\u00fcrk dili tarihinde Div\u00e2n-\u0131 L\u00fcgat-it T\u00fcrk&#8217;ten sonra ikinci \u00f6nemli kitapt\u0131r.[kaynak belirtilmeli] Hamse sahibi ilk T\u00fcrk \u015fairidir (hamse 5 mesneviden olu\u015fur). Tezkire sahibidir(g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcz edebiyattaki biyografi): &#8220;Mecal\u00fcs&#8217;\u00fcn Nefais&#8221;. \u015eehrengiz:Do\u011fup b\u00fcy\u00fcd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc &#8220;Herat&#8221; kentinin do\u011fal g\u00fczelliklerini anlat\u0131r.<br \/>\n\u015eiirleri ya\u015fam\u0131n\u0131n de\u011fi\u015fik d\u00f6nemlerine g\u00f6re s\u0131n\u0131fland\u0131r\u0131p kronolojik olarak divan\u0131nda toplam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<br \/>\nFars\u00e7a&#8217;n\u0131n resmi dil oldu\u011fu, T\u00fcrk ayd\u0131nlar\u0131n\u0131n bu dille eser vermeyi h\u00fcner kabul etti\u011fi bir zamanda Nevai, \u00c7a\u011fatayca&#8217;n\u0131n Fars\u00e7adan \u00fcst\u00fcn bir dil oldu\u011funu savunmu\u015ft\u0131r. Nevai kendisi ba\u015fl\u0131ca \u00c7a\u011fatay dilinde yazar ve 30 y\u0131ll\u0131k bir d\u00f6nemin \u00fczerinde 30 eser \u00fcretir, b\u00f6ylece \u00c7a\u011fatayca Yaz\u0131nsal dil olarak \u00e7ok sayg\u0131n ve \u00f6nemli kabul edilmi\u015ftir. Nevai ayr\u0131ca Fars\u00e7a yazd\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u015fiirlerde ise, Fars\u00e7a dilinde (\u0641\u0627\u0646\u0649\u200e ; F\u0101ni kalem ad\u0131 alt\u0131nda, anlam\u0131 Arap\u00e7a &#8220;fena&#8221; s\u00f6z\u00fcnden: yok olu\u015f; mecazi m\u00e2n\u00e2s\u0131 ise Allah&#8217;\u0131n a\u015fk\u0131yla kendinden ge\u00e7me, yok olma veya &#8220;gelip ge\u00e7ici&#8221;), Arap\u00e7a ve Hint\u00e7e \u00e7ok daha az bir say\u0131da eser yazm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Ali \u015eir Nevai&#8217;nin en \u00e7ok tan\u0131nm\u0131\u015f \u015fiirleri onun d\u00f6rt divan&#8217;n\u0131nda, veya kabaca 50,000 \u015fiir koleksiyonu bulunur.<br \/>\nBed\u00e2i\u00fc&#8217;l-Bid\u00e2ye;<br \/>\nNevai bu ilk 842 \u015fiir bulunan divan\u0131n\u0131 1470 y\u0131l\u0131nda yazar.
